White label Facebook ads: how agencies resell Meta ads without the headaches

Clients ask their agency to run Facebook and Instagram ads long before the agency has a media buyer. White labelling is how many agencies say yes without hiring.

Media Puppies ·

White label Facebook ads are Meta advertising campaigns that a specialist partner runs for an agency's clients, under the agency's name. The agency sells the service, sets the price and keeps the relationship. The partner builds and manages the campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, writes reports in the agency's template, and never speaks to the client directly.

For a web, SEO or brand agency, white label Facebook ads solve a common problem: a client wants paid social now, and hiring a good media buyer takes months and costs a full salary whether there are three accounts or twelve.

How white label Facebook ads work

  1. Agreement first. A mutual NDA and a non-solicit clause, so the partner cannot approach your client during or after the work.
  2. Access through the client's Business Manager. The partner is added as a partner or given a seat. The ad account stays in the client's name, which protects everyone if the arrangement ends; who owns your ad account explains why that matters.
  3. Audit and plan. Tracking, account structure and creative are reviewed before anything changes.
  4. Build and run. Campaigns, audiences, budgets, the pixel and Conversions API, and a creative testing plan.
  5. Report under your brand. Weekly notes or a Looker Studio dashboard in your template, ready to forward.

What a good white label Facebook ads partner handles

  • Account structure that suits Advantage+ campaigns rather than dozens of tiny ad sets; see the Advantage+ guide.
  • Tracking: pixel plus the Conversions API, with deduplication checked, because Meta's delivery system is only as good as the events it receives. Conversions API for lead generation covers the setup.
  • Creative testing: new concepts every few weeks, judged on hook rate and cost per result, so the account does not stall on one tired ad. The method is in our creative testing framework.
  • Policy and disapprovals: appeals, special ad categories for housing, credit and employment in the US, and account health.
  • Reporting that explains what changed and what happens next, rather than a screenshot of the dashboard.

White label Facebook ads pricing models

ModelHow it worksWatch out for
Fixed fee per accountA set monthly fee for each client accountMake sure the scope covers creative testing, not just maintenance
Percentage of ad spendThe partner takes a share of the client's budgetRewards the partner for raising spend, not for results
HourlyBilled against time loggedHard to price to your client, and easy to dispute

Most agencies prefer a fixed fee per account, because it lets them set their own client price and keep a predictable margin. The trade-offs are covered in more detail in white label PPC pricing.

A worked example of the margin

Say an agency in Chicago has four clients asking for Facebook ads, each spending between $5,000 and $15,000 a month. Hiring an experienced media buyer means a salary, benefits and recruitment time, plus the risk that the buyer leaves and takes the account knowledge with them.

With a white label partner on a fixed per-account fee, the agency's cost rises and falls with the number of accounts. If it charges each client a management fee above the partner's fee, the difference is margin from day one. If one client leaves, the cost drops the same month. The decision point usually comes when the agency has enough Meta accounts to keep a full-time buyer busy all year; the agency vs in-house calculator helps find that point.

Risks, and how to avoid them

  • Poaching. Solved in the contract, before access.
  • Quality drift. Ask for the testing plan in writing and read the weekly report, not just the dashboard.
  • Your client finding out awkwardly. Agree in advance how you describe your delivery team. Many agencies simply say they work with a specialist media buying team.
  • Time zones. If the partner is offshore, agree a fixed overlap window for calls and urgent changes.

Getting started with white label Facebook ads

The lowest-risk way to judge a partner is one live account and the first written audit. The questions worth asking first are listed in questions to ask a white label partner. Our white label PPC service runs Meta and Google Ads for agencies in the US, UK and Australia on exactly that basis: one account, one audit, then decide.

Questions people ask before hiring

What are white label Facebook ads?

Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns run by a specialist partner for an agency’s clients, under the agency’s brand. The agency keeps the client and sets the price.

Will my client know I use a white label partner?

Only if you tell them. A good partner never contacts your client and writes reports in your template. Many agencies say openly that they use a specialist media buying team.

Who owns the ad account in a white label arrangement?

The client should. The partner works inside the client’s Business Manager with partner access, so nobody is locked out if the arrangement ends.

How are white label Facebook ads priced?

Usually a fixed monthly fee per account, sometimes a percentage of ad spend or hourly billing. A fixed fee is easiest for an agency to price and protects its margin.
